They have the advantage of withstanding longer than one reactor fuel and there are several facilities in the world who work in the last 50 to 100 years. The hydroelectric plants have many environmental advantages over other conventional sources since there is no exhaust emissions, but usually create upheavals in ecosystems that are installed by the high human intervention in nature. There are several countries that have high energy dependence on the hydroelectric plants such as Canada and Brazil.
